common challenges.
If you are trying to join or start a meeting and the connecting point
is hanging, then run the Test Browser and click More Info to
get the read out on your system. If it says your Java is unknown, then click
here to get updated Java VM version. However, Windows 2000
users need to go to Microsoft update site and go through their standard
update patches to get the updated MS Java VM 5.0 version release. iWebDemo
is firewall friendly, however, it does require that secure socket
layer Port 443 be open in order to communicate between the PCs connected
in a meeting. iWebDemo will work well with most proxy servers.
If it is unable to connect with standard TCP connections, it will attempt
to tunnel using HTTP tunneling. Keep in mind that due to
sophistication of handling, it will consume ten times the bandwidth which
can slow response times down. PC minimum requirements for attending
a meeting are different than requirements for presenting and remote
control functionality. See the links to users guides in Help
for Hosts and Help
for Clients.
